For two decades I have served as a Clackamas County commissioner so I’ve had plenty of time to observe the qualities it takes to successfully work alongside our communities and my fellow commissioners — all of whom have a variety of views. Public service takes commitment, cooperation, moderation and stability. LO School Board candidate Kasey Adler will bring all of these qualities and more to our school district. Like me Kasey’s goals are not right, not left but forward.

Academic rigor and career readiness, improving outcomes as well as fiscal responsibility and transparency are his goals. His strong financial and budgeting background, an ability to listen and to prioritize and the leadership skills to help pull a team together to achieve a common purpose will be invaluable assets. As a volunteer youth sports coach of numerous Lake Oswego teams Kasey’s mantra is “keep your eye on the ball.”
