My friend Kate Lupton is running for Lake Oswego School Board position 4, and she has earned my vote. I know Kate through the many community groups that we have participated in together over the years. Kate is committed to our Lake Oswego community and is dedicated to seeing it flourish.

Kate is in touch with the needs of our community and our schools. As a former classroom teacher, she understands the daily needs of both our teachers and our students. This is a perspective that uniquely sets her apart from other candidates.

Kate is well versed in developing curriculum, and understands the need for innovation in teaching strategies to keep up with our modern society. She is dedicated to offering rigorous academic courses throughout Lake Oswego, and ensuring that our students can compete at the national level. She also aims to innovate and improve professional development for teachers in our district, to ensure that teachers are prepared for the modern challenges that they may encounter in the classroom.

On top of her community involvement, Kate is a dedicated mother of three, a committed vegetarian and an avid runner.
